About Andreas Tapakoudes
With more than 35 years of experience in engineering and business management, Andreas Tapakoudes is an expert in the field of solar technology. Mr. Tapakoudes’ work on intellectual properties led to the development of technologies and manufacturing processes with both patents pending and approved. This success inspired his latest endeavor, QSOLAR Limited, to be traded publicly on the Canadian National Stock Exchange in March 2011. Before becoming the CEO of QSOLAR Limited and Volptech Worldwide, Andreas Tapakoudes was an engineer in telecommunications and electronic analytical instruments. At Applied Photophysics Ltd, Andreas Tapakoudes developed equipment designed to detect poisonous gasses for the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence. Andreas Tapakoudes took his engineering expertise to Cyprus as a Design and Development Engineer with Telecom Plc, now known as Cyprus Trading Corporation Plc. As an engineer, he designed equipment to supplement a variety of telecommunication services. While at Cyprus Telecom, Mr. Tapakoudes managed projects and trained computer system operators. Andreas Tapakoudes’ experience with Cyprus Telecom later led to management positions at other companies. Andreas Tapakoudes was hired by Malifax Technologies (S) Pte Ltd. out of Singapore, where he became the Business and Product Development Manager. At Malifax, Mr. Tapakoudes developed infrastructure that allowed the company to develop a market for personal computers and components throughout the Middle East. After working for companies around the globe, Andreas Tapakoudes struck out on his own in 1998 by founding his first solar panel manufacturing company, ATM Solar Ltd. Andreas Tapakoudes executed a range of responsibilities as he brought the company from its early stages into full operation. He continued his work with solar equipment as CEO of Volptech Worldwide, where he supervised development and promoted products to companies in the United States and United Kingdom. Since 2007, Andreas Tapakoudes has led QSOLAR Limited as its President and CEO. At QSOLAR Limited, Mr. Tapakoudes utilized his experience as an engineer and manager to develop new solar panel manufacturing processes and secure export of the company’s products to European markets.
